WHEN: Event runs from March 23 – 25, 2018. Competition will begin on Friday and the tournament concludes with Finals on the Sunday. Given the number if out of state teams, there is no guarantees to accommodate schedules requests.
WHERE: The Phoenix Cup will be played at some of most prime time fields on the west coast – Phoenix- Reach 11, Scottsdale Sports Complex, Rose Mofford Sports Park, Red Mountain Sports Complex and Quail Run Sports Park. Specific age groups will be assigned and play at respective facilities/fields throughout the weekend.
LEVELS OF PLAY:
U15, U16, U17 & U19 Age Group Brackets: Competitive teams that compete regionally and nationally. Top Division teams (National, Regional, State ranked level teams) from across North America are expected to participate. These divisions will be played in tournament format with group and playoffs/finals. College coaches and scouts will be invited to observe players participating in the Showcase Division.
Premier: U12 – U19 Single Age Group Brackets: The Gold Division includes competitive Division I teams where College coaches and scouts may be on site to watch these games as well. There will be multiple flights (Red-White-Blue) within the Premier Division.
Platinum: U12 – U19 Single Age Group Brackets: The Platinum Division is for average Division 1 and competitive Division 2 travel teams. Colleges are invited to scout these games. There will be multiple flights (Red-White-Blue) within the Silver Division.
Gold/Silver/Bronze: U12 – U19 Single Age Group Brackets: These Divisions is primarily for lower level Division 2 teams, recreational teams and new travel teams seeking comparative competition. There will be multiple flights (Red-White-Blue) within the Silver Division.

The Phoenix Cup is a GotSoccer a tournament and teams will be eligible to win points based on performance.
Teams will not be eligible for acceptance until the registration fee has been received. Any team not accepted will receive a refund. Teams accepted, paid and opt-out do not receive a refund.
Early Application Deadline is December 1st, Final Deadline February 15. Entries whose payment is not received by December 1st will be considered late and incur a $50 late fee . The completed Check and gotsoccer application (with team, gender, and age group noted on the check) should be mailed to:

Credit Card Payment can be made through gotsoccer. ***Entry fee to be sent within 2 weeks of submitting the team application. Refunds will be made to all teams not accepted. Note: Teams who are accepted and withdraw from event do not receive a refund.
Partial refunds will be made if the tournament is canceled due to weather or Acts of God, half of the entry fee will be retained.
Acceptance notifications will be e-mailed shortly after the deadline. Early acceptance may be granted for teams traveling from outside the state of Arizona, with the decision made within two (2) weeks after receiving the application provided the application and payments received before the deadline.
Applications will be accepted from teams affiliated with USYSA, US Club Soccer, Canadian Soccer Association and FIFA affiliated youth soccer associations outside of the United States.

Reminder: Entry fees received after the Feb. 15th deadline date will incur an additional $50.00 late fee.
TRAINERS & MEDICAL STAFF: Athletic trainers will be onsite at all facilities.
TOURNAMENT FORMAT: Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games. All age brackets play into a finals. Referee fees are included in the registration fee. U12 to U19 teams play 11-a-side and may carry up to 22 players on their roster but only 18 players can play in any given game.
U12 are allowed 4 guest players (included in the roster maximum)
U13 and up are allowed 6 guest players (included in the roster maximum)
THIS IS A STAY AND PLAY EVENT FOR TRAVEL TEAMS. All teams booking hotel rooms must use the selected hotels provided by the Phoenix Cup which is being managed by Housing Connections to ensure competitive rates are offered at quality hotels. Any travel team not using the approved service will NOT be permitted to participate in the tournament and a refund will not be issued.
Any teams registering after the deadline will be placed on an active waiting list depending on availability based on the size of the divisions and flights.
